Model Image

Model Image is a feature in ARRIS 9.x which creates an image and hidden line drawing and stores it in the ARRIS model as a layer.
These layers can then be used as viewports if desired.

Model Image Menu
Name is used to name the layers, images, etc.
Image Layer Layer for the image of the rendering. If you select #AUTO#, then then name will automatically be generated.
Notes Layer Layer for notes, dimensioning, etc. If you select #AUTO#, then then name will automatically be generated.
Automatically Turn Off Layers Existing layers will be turned off when done (if selected), and only the Model Image layers will be displayed.
Refresh SketchUp Layers If turned on, any SketchUp layers will be regenerated from the SKP file before creating the rendering.
Parameters
Window Type Use Screen to generate what's currently on screen. Use Two Point to generate from only a part of the drawing.
Resolution Set the output result of the generated image to Draft, Normal or High.
Shading Method Select the appropriate Shading Method for the generated image, options are None, Opaque, Shadow and Textures.
Line Display Color Set the color of the generated lines to Shading Color, Black or White.
Background Color Set the background color of the generated image to any desired color, selected from the current loaded colormenu.
Apply
Click Apply to start generating the image and hidden line drawing.
Sample
- Open the Model Image dialog from the 3D Render menu.
- Select Apply to create Model image
- Add dimensioning by snapping to points in the hidden line overlay
- Add notes
This is a 2D plotable view with the rendering stored in an image.
