Menu Size
From Sigma Design Wiki
ARRIS has settings which effect Menu Size which may be helpful with large screen displays.
There are several features in ARRIS which combine to determine the Window size of ARRIS, and the size of the ARRIS menus within the window.

Automatic wide screen display
If you have a wide screen monitor, then you can tell ARRIS to to keep the normal aspect ration of menu boxes.
If the Wide Screen Menu Adjust on the Preferences menu is set to YES, when the aspect ratio of the ARRIS Window approaches wide screen proportions, the menus will shift within the window to not stretch out as wide, and allow a larger display area.
When the ARRIS menus are in Wide Screen mode, there are blank spaces in the menu area of the ARRIS window to the left of the Desktop menu and to the left of the Bottom / Status menus.
Start Up size
In the Environment Defaults Manager menu, the Startup Window Size may be set. This determines the size of the ARRIS window (in pixels) when ARRIS first starts. For my monitor I have this set to 1680 x 1022. This opens the ARRIS Window to fill my wide screen monitor.
Adjusting menu size for large monitors
Also in the Environment Defaults Manager menu, there is a Menu Size setting.
This sets the size of the ARRIS menus within the ARRIS window. It is designed for those who have higher resolution monitors, and allows you to reduce the size of the ARRIS menus within the ARRIS Window, thus giving more room to the display area. The setting represents a percentage of full size - for example I have mine set to 80%.
This means that the menus are 80% of full size. When this setting is used and set to something less than full size, there are blank spaces in the menu area of the ARRIS window above the Main menu, to the left of the Desktop menu, and to the left of the Bottom and Status menus.
The size of these blank spaces depends on the setting. If this feature is used in conjunction with the Wide Screen Menu Adjust, the spaces to the left of the Desktop, Status, and Bottom menus will be larger.
Implementation
Note: All 3 of these setting can be combined to achieve the effect you desire.
There are no known bugs in any of these features for ARRIS 9.0 or 9.1. What you see will depend on which combination of the features you use and your screen resolution and monitor.
