What to tell ACAD Users?

What is the best format for the ACAD Using Consultants to save their drawing in so that the information is most usable after translating to arris.

I have difficulty with x-refs coming in all on one layer.

Is there a document already created that would clarify this process between us using arris and our consultants using ACAD?

Do I have some setting incorrect in my config file?

the problem is not the translation.
the xref is most like an ri, and depending on your version, it will not have layers.
ask for a separate copy of the xref to translate yourself.
you will need to load the layers into your target database, etc.

the 0,0 (ARRIS A0) of the xref is the insert point (unless changed by special command, and often by ignorance of it.)
